PEAC Health and Fitness is set to host a Teal Tea Race on Sunday, September 20, 2015 to benefit the Teal Tea Foundation in recognition of Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. The 5K run and a 1.5 mile walk will take place at PEAC, 1440 Lower Ferry Road in Ewing.
PEAC Health and Fitness is set to host a Teal Tea Race on Sunday, September 20, 2015 to benefit the Teal Tea Foundation in recognition of Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. The 5K run and a 1.5 mile walk will take place at PEAC, 1440 Lower Ferry Road in Ewing.
The 5K run, which is sanctioned, professionally-timed and certified by the USATF, will begin at 8:15 a.m. and the 1.5 mile walk will begin at 9:30 a.m. Pre-registration is encouraged, and all pre-registrants will receive a race t-shirt.
Registration forms can be obtained at PEAC Health and Fitness, peachealthfitness.com, or tealtea.org. Online registration can be found at active.com. All proceeds will benefit Teal Tea Foundation.
In addition to the race on September 20, PEAC will also support the Teal Tea Foundation and ovarian cancer awareness throughout the month of September with various activities and the sale of Teal Tea items.
Teal Tea Foundation is dedicated to raising ovarian cancer awareness and supporting research efforts focused on early detection, treatments and a cure for ovarian cancer. Its programs help women faced with ovarian cancer improve their quality of life during and after treatment. The Teal Tea Foundation is a partner member of the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance based in Washington, DC. The Foundation also supports the awareness and research efforts of the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition, the Fox Chase Cancer Center, Cooper Cancer Institute and the Cancer Institute of New Jersey Foundation.
