Toyota awarded Ewing-based nonprofit One Simple Wish a new car as part of its 100 Cars for Good contest.
OSW founder picked up a Limited Edition 2014 Toyota Highlander from Team Toyota of Princeton on Jan. 15. Following the vehicle pick up, OSW used it to deliver wishes and care kits to children in the area.
The organization, which grants foster children’s wishes, plans to use the vehicle to fulfill more wishes.
Most foster families submit their children’s wishes via the Internet. However, not all children have access to a computer. OSW representatives will use their new car to visit these children and record their wishes.
Additionally, OSW representatives will use the vehicle to deliver wishes and distribute personal care items, toys and games at giveaway events.
