Hopewell Valley Children’s Theatre is set to present Disney’s Aladdin, Jr. Jan. 19 and 20.
Performances are set for Jan. 19 at 7:30 p.m. and Jan. 20 at 1 p.m. They are set to take place at the Performing Arts Center at Hopewell Valley, 259 Pennington-Titusville Road, Pennington.
Tickets can be purchased online at hvct.org. HVCT said prices are $12 for adults and $7 for students and senior citizens.
HVCT said performers include students from Stony Brook, Toll Gate, Bear Tavern, Hopewell Elementary, Lore, Princeton Charter School, Antheil Elementary, Village Elementary and West Amwell schools.
Narrators Gretchen Cyriacus, Sasha Gardee, Molly Higgins, Chloe Lamond and Gillian Lee tell the story of Aladdin, a beggar who comes in possession of a lamp inhabited by a genie.
HVCT said the show will end with their signature “Wow Bow, a bonus feature of a mix of music tied to the theme of the show starring the entire cast.”
Aladdain is played by Matthew Sing and the Genie is played by Tiernan Stover.
The show also features Chloe Margulis as Jeannie, Angelina Genovesi as the Magic Carpet, Stella Dominick as A boo, Tristan Lee as the Sultan, Morgan Schragger as Princess Jasmine, James McLaughlin as Jafar, Kira Barich as Iago, Paige Lamson as Rajah, Steven Navarro as Razoul, Zach Benedetti as Fazoul.
Additionally, Caroline Watterson, Jamie Wills, Peyton Branaugh and Kyla Fogler are set to play Jasmine’s Attendants. Alex McInnes, Nick Benedetti, Dean Berman, Aran Mott, Aidan Mott were casted as the Palace Guards. Addison Sullivan, Julia McInnes, Jessica Llewellyn, Mary Hansen, Brianna Berensmann and Jackie Courtney are set to play residents of Agrabah.
The HVCT crew includes producer and director Cathy Sing, music director Bernadette Furlong, vocal and costume director, Vicki Krampf, choreographer Jessica Furlong, assistant choreographers Katina Angelakis and Sarah Ehrenberg, administrative director and artistic consultant Moira Sandford, and technical and set directors Brian Sandford and Christian Lambert.
HVCT is a non-profit arts education program endorsed by the NJ Council of the Arts. Their mission is to enhance the self-esteem and talents of local students through performing arts.
