At the moment Elizabeth Wall’s office at The Crisis Ministry of Mercer County resembles a gift-wrapping room in Santa’s Workshop.
With the help of co-workers, Ms. Wall, the Crisis Ministry’s Housing Stability Program Coordinator, is managing the distribution of hundreds of gifts donated through the Angel Tree of Trinity Church, Princeton; Council of Girl Scouts, Princeton; First Baptist Church of Trenton; First Presbyterian Church of Ewing; Nassau Presbyterian Church, Princeton; and Shine and Inspire, Inc., Pennington.
The Crisis Ministry, which will mark its 35th anniversary in 2015, assists low-income families and individuals in Mercer County with programs, resources, and support that promote food security, housing stability, and workforce readiness. A non-profit organization, it operates three food pantries, a community vegetable garden, homelessness prevention programs, and workforce development initiatives, and hosts nutrition lessons and health screenings.
