Ewing Township and the Ewing Green Team will hold the fourth annual Fall Spin bike tour on Saturday, Sept. 29, from 8:15 a.m. to 11 a.m.
The event, which is part of the 2018 Community Fest, will start and end at Campus Town at The College of New Jersey. All proceeds from this year’s event will be donated to the Arc of Mercer in support of its Food Training Center.
Individuals or teams, ages 18 years and older are encouraged to register early as there is a maximum number of 50 riders allowed.
“We would love participants to sign up as individuals or come as a team of friends, family members or co-workers,” said Garry Keel, Green Team member and Bike Ride Coordinator.
The Fall Spin registration fee is $20 prior to Sept. 22nd and $25 thereafter. All persons registering by Sept. 22nd will receive a T-shirt. Day-of-event registration will begin at 7:45 a.m.
The bike ride will be a 12-mile, leisurely tour of Ewing Township, with rest stops at historic locations including St. Luke’s Episcopal Church and Higgs Park. The route will also stop at The ARC Mercer.
“Don’t forget when you have completed your ride, to head over to Ewing’s Community Fest where you can meet your neighbors and enjoy one of the township’s biggest community celebrations” said a Green Team release.
The Ewing Green Team (ewinggreenteam.org) was established in 2009 by municipal resolution under the auspices of the Ewing Environmental Commission, and is part of the statewide Sustainable Jersey effort (sustainablejersey.com).
