Ewing dialysis clinic awarded Center of Excellence

Fresenius Medical Care North America, a network of dialysis facilities, awarded its Ewing clinic the Center of Excellence designation.

Fresenius Medical Care Ewing, located at 1962 North Olden Ave., was awarded for achieving the highest standards in patient care in 2013. These annual awards recognize the best-performing FMCNA dialysis facilities nationwide, based on multiple objective measures of clinical quality.

Clinics share the company’s mission to deliver superior care that improves the quality of life of every patient.

Fresenius Medical Care has established high standards of clinical quality company wide, based on those recommended by the Kidney Disease Outcomes Quality Initiative of the National Kidney Foundation and other recognized standards.

The company evaluates facilities for Center of Excellence recognition by reviewing key patient outcome measures such as dialysis adequacy, control of anemia, nutritional status, patient satisfaction and transplant education.
