On April 6, the Ewing recreational wrestling program will host a car show to benefit the team, as well as a team member whose father recently died.
Coach Dashawn Tye, the father of one of the wrestlers died two months ago, and that some of the proceeds of the show will go to help the student. The rest, as usual, will go to buying wrestling equipment like singlets and headgear for wrestlers who can’t afford it.
The show will also benefit the All-in-One Wrestling Club, which is a program for elementary school age kids who want to learn to Olympic-style wrestling.
The show will feature custom cars in five categories: trucks, custom, American muscle, exotic and stock. Car enthusiasts can come to see other vehicles, show their own rides and enjoy food vendors and music.
The show is free and open to the public, but there is a $10 to enter a car in the show.
The show is scheduled for April 6 at 1 p.m. at the Ewing High School parking lot.
