The Lawrence Headquarters Branch of the Mercer County Library System will host two free adult programs in August aimed at promoting wellness—both physical and financial.
On Thursday, Aug. 7, from 6 to 7 p.m., the library will offer a Sound Bath Meditation led by wellness consultant Stephanie Whitford. Participants can relax and recharge as they experience the calming tones of crystal singing bowls in a guided meditative session.
The program is designed to help attendees de-stress, reconnect with their bodies, and enjoy the restorative benefits of vibrational sound.
Later in the month, on Thursday, Aug. 21, from 7 to 8 p.m., the library will present Five Phases of an IRA, a financial planning workshop led by Thrivent Financial advisor Michael Kochersperger.
With more than eight years of experience in tax-efficient retirement planning, Kochersperger will walk attendees through strategies for managing IRA distributions, minimizing tax liabilities, and navigating shifting tax laws.
The workshop aims to equip participants with the tools to make confident decisions about their retirement savings and long-term financial legacy.
Both events are sponsored by the Friends of the Lawrence Library. Advanced registration is appreciated and can be completed online through LibCal at www.mcl.org.
The Lawrence Headquarters Branch is located at 2751 Brunswick Pike in Lawrenceville. For more information, call 609-883-8292 or email lawprogs@mcl.org.
