Mercer County Native Returns to Join Growing Team of Gynecologic Oncologists at Capital Health Cancer Center

Dr. Mona Saleh, a fellowship trained gynecologic oncologist who grew up in Mercer County, has joined the nationally accredited Capital Health Cancer Center, located at Capital Health Medical Center – Hopewell. As part of Capital Health’s Center for Gynecologic Oncology and Capital Health Surgical Group, Dr. Saleh joins Medical Director Dr. Joyce Varughese in providing the most advanced testing and treatments for all gynecologic cancers, including ovarian, uterine/endometrial, cervical, vulvar, and vaginal as well as pre-cancerous conditions in the female reproductive system.

Dr. Saleh is seeing patients at Capital Health Surgical Group, Two Capital Way, Suite 356, Pennington, NJ 08534 and 1690 Big Oak Road, 2nd Floor, Yardley, PA 19067.

Dr. Saleh completed her fellowship in gynecologic oncology at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, New York. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at New York University Grossman School of Medicine also in New York City, where she served as Research and Quality Improvement Chief Resident and Chief Diversity Ambassador. Fluent in Spanish and Arabic, she has a special interest in minimally invasive surgery and improving access to cancer care for all communities.

From diagnosis through treatment, Dr. Saleh and Dr. Varughese work closely with referring physicians and an integrated team of medical, surgical, radiation, and allied cancer specialists at Capital Health Cancer Center to develop comprehensive, individualized plans of care for their patients.

Dr. Saleh and Dr. Varughese are part of Capital Health Surgical Group – Gynecologic Oncology, a surgical practice that offers expertise in the most advanced treatments for all gynecologic cancers—ovarian, uterine/endometrial, cervical, vulvar and vaginal—as well as pre-cancerous conditions in the female reproductive system. They specialize in traditional and minimally invasive surgical approaches (including laparoscopic and robotic using the da Vinci surgical system). From diagnosis through treatment, they work closely with referring physicians and an integrated team of medical, surgical, radiation, and allied specialists at Capital Health Cancer Center to develop a comprehensive, individualized plan of care for each patient.
