The Addams Family is set to play at the Bordentown Performing Arts Center on Friday, Aug. 3 and Saturday, Aug. 4 at 7:30 p.m. This musical is a production of the Bordentown Teen Musical Theatre Company, whose cast contains 35 young performers between the ages of 15 and 19 from Bordentown, Fieldsboro, Chesterfield, Florence, Columbus, Hamilton, Wrightstown, Yardville and Eastampton.
Based on the characters created by Charles Addams, The Addams Family is a musical comedy that brings the weird and wonderful family to life onstage. The Addams Family features a book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice and music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa.
Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family, a man her parents have never met. Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before—keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia.
Performances will be held at the Bordentown Performing Arts Center, located at 318 Ward Ave. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for seniors and children. They can be purchased at the Bordentown CDA office (located at 48 Dunns Mill Rd.), as well as at the door one hour before curtain.
