Walter F. Conover Jr. of Bradenton, Florida, died June 11. He was born in Dutch Neck, where he was a long-time resident. He graduated from Mercersburg Academy and served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. In West Windsor he was an elder and clerk of the session of Dutch Neck Presbyterian Church, member of the board of education, and former president of the Dutch Neck Fire Company. He was also former owner of Nassau-Conover Motor Company in Princeton.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Walker F. “Mike” Conover III and Susanne; daughter Ruth Ann Conover; daughter and son-in-law Frances C. and Dennis Lewis; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Deirdre O’Hara, 54, of Warren, died June 20 at home. A graduate of WW-P High School, she worked for the state Department of Human Services, for more than 30 years. Survivors include a brother, John O’Hara, and niece, Erin O’Hara. A memorial mass will be held on Friday, June 24, at 10 a.m. at St. David the King R.C. Church, 1 New Village Road, West Windsor. Shinjae Rhee, 61, of Plainsboro died June 15.
Marilyn Shrope, 82, of Atlanta died. Survivors include a daughter, Catherine Shrope-Mok of West Windsor.
Bruce Breeman, 70, of Beachwood died June 11 in Toms River. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Phyllis Breeman of Plainsboro.
Margaret Giambagno, 80, of Berkeley Township died June 11. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Mary Ann Giambagno of Plainsboro.
Emily Van Ness Schurin, 68, of Storrs, Connecticut, died June 14. Born in New York City, she attended Bennington College and New York University and was a long-time West Windsor resident. Early in her career she worked for newspapers including the Hunterdon County Democrat, Princeton Packet, and Times of Trenton. She studied economics journalism at Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School, where she met her husband, Ron. In the past 25 years she has worked for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, National Women’s Health Resource Center, and Mount Sinai Hospital in addition to teaching journalism at Rutgers.
Survivors include her husband; sons Zachary and Matthew; daughter-in-law Leah Kamin; grandson Daniel; brothers and sister-in-law Jim and Anna and Michael; sisters and brothers-in-law Deirdre and Ron and Molly and Jim; and many nieces and nephews. An interment ceremony will be held Friday, June 24, at noon at Princeton Cemetery, 29 Greenview Avenue, Princeton. Alfred O’Toole, 85, of Oradell, died June 19. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Eileen and Ravi Sattiraju of West Windsor, as well as grandchildren Anna, Kieran, Conor, and Maya, also of West Windsor.
