Fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger will be stopping in Princeton next month to promote his new book
American Dreamer: My Life in Fashion & Business
.
The event, hosted by the Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce, will take place Nov. 2 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Hyatt Regency Princeton. In addition to a presentation by Hilfiger, the night will also feature networking, a book singing and VIP reception.
Peter Crowley, president and CEO of the chamber, said Hilfiger exemplifies the entrepreneurial spirit represented in each Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce member.
“His ability to thrive in a constantly changing marketplace for more than three decades will serve as an inspiration to chamber members,” Crowley said. “We are proud to host this international business icon and look forward to continuing to bring such notable figures to the area.”
In his new book, Hilfiger discusses his origins as a businessman. When he was still in high school, Hilfiger—who was raised in Elmira, New York—opened a clothing store with just $150 in 1969. He launched his namesake fashion label in 1985.
Tickets to the event are $45 and include a copy of American Dreamer. The book signing will immediately follow the presentation.
