DIVISION THREE GIRLS

The Hopewell Express Zombies went head to head with Dahlia Floral Concepts Pink team on Sunday, Oct. 23. The Zombie’s first two goals came from Emilie Sawicki and Evelyn Lansing, combined with great offensive pressure by Makayla Scherbekow and Sarah Eschleman. Sydney Tuorto, Charlotte Catlett, Amrit Aurora and Sarah Eschleman kept the pink team to roughly half a dozen scoring chances on defense. Payton Tuorto made spectacular saves on most of those, including one dive back into the goal to stop a third attempt after stopping the first two, but Gracie Stroman put one in the net to make it 2-1. Emilie Sawicki put one more in the net before halftime to put the Zombies up 3-1. Payton Tuorto came out of the goal to score two, and one more goal came from Beth Hooks in her first game back from the disabled list to give the Hopewell Express Zombies a win of 6-1.

The D3 Dahlia Floral Concepts Pink Panthers team played the Hopewell Express team on Sunday. The Pink Panthers lost the game 6-1. Grace Stroman scored for the Pink Panthers, while Mia Govantes had a great defensive game.

Jack’s Greenhouse & Nursery faced off against HVSA Royal Blue on Sunday, Oct. 23. Royal Blue scored the only goal in the first half. Zoe Dec tied things up at the start of the second half when she received a pass from Anna Gabe and Tessa Caputo to even the score. A few minutes later, after receiving a pass from Zoe, Anna added a goal of her own to put Jack’s up 2-1. Royal Blue came back with a goal of their own to tie the score. Both teams fought hard, but Tessa, receiving a pass from Zoe, found the back of the net to give Jack’s the lead and eventually end the game with the 3-2 victory. Great defensive work performed by Jaelyn Krin, Lily Gaglio, Luct Antal, Shinyi Li, Jaina Jackowski, Katie Clarke, Bella Gaglio and Olivia Doherty facilitated Jack’s toughest win of the season.

DIVISION THREE BOYS

In Sunday’s game, Stellitano raced out to a 5-0 halftime lead with goals from Finn Murray-Campbell, Larry Kennedy, Andrew Sagotsky and two from Mike Kennedy. Vitor Fontes Nichi netted his first goal of the year to end the scoring, resulting in the 6-1 win. The first half shutout was lead by goalie Bryce Meccage and strong defense provided by Teddy Franzino, Corban Ballek and Andrew Sagotsky. In the second half, Andrew Sagotsky replaced Bryce Meccage in goal, who moved to the defensive line along with Larry and Mike Kennedy. The second half front line was held down by a combination of Teddy Franzino, Corban Ballek, Vitor Fontes Nichi and Finn Murray-Campbell.

On Sunday, the Carnegie Cat Clinic defeated Robbinsville 1 8-1. Since R1 did not have enough players for the game, the CCC team lent them enough players to play. Cameron Phillips, Victor Polverejan, Chris Sawicki and Aaron Dandurand scored the eight goals for CCC.

DIVISION TWO GIRLS

On Saturday, Oct. 22 the Pennington Quality Market Flower Shop lost a close 3-4 match against WMLM. Gianna Azara had the hat trick for the flower shop, and Kaylie Gorman, Olivia Friedrich and Sonia Coppisetti played tough in the net. On Sunday, the Flower Shop defeated Purtec Dental 2-0. Gianna Azara netted both goals for the flower shop. This was made possible by the great effort put forth by the offense and midfield consisting of Julia Schwarz, Angelyn Li, Olivia Friedrich, Ruby Golkov and Rebekkah Siegleheim. Kaelyn Gopaul, Kaylie Gorman and Sonia Coppisetti held strong in the net, while the defense—consisting of Elizabeth Eckel, Arya Khare and Addie Rhodes—was consistent in protecting the goal.

The Red Lions were able to defeat PQM Flower Shop 4-3 on Saturday. With the Red Lions down 2-0 late in the second quarter Ava Courtney netted a goal on an assist by Sophia Pellegrino. In the third quarter Elizabeth Myers scored a goal to tie the game up heading to the fourth quarter. With the Red Lions down 3-2 in the fourth quarter, the Ted Lions tied the game on a goal by Ava Courtney set up by a great pass by Bridget Holden. With just over a minute left, Caroline Ryan made a great defensive play to stop PQM from scoring, and then passed it ahead to Eve Szeliga who would assist Ava Courtney on the game winning goal. Grace Sullivan made some great saves to keep the Red Lions in the game. The Red Lions and Burwood Landscapes and Patio Design played to a hard fought 1-1 tie on Sunday. The Red Lions scored quickly on a first quarter goal by Ava Courtney. The Red Lions defense was stout today thanks to Rosemary Stout, Grace Sullivan and Gerise Kelly. The Red Lions got offensive chances thanks to Meg Adelman, Sophia Pellegrino and Bridget Holden.

DIVISION TWO BOYS

On Saturday morning, Pennington Quality Market defeated J&V Trophies 8-3. Aiden Luciano had a spectacular game, coming away with a hat trick and an assist. Henry West and Giuseppe Panzitta were mighty forces on offense, scoring two goals each. Dylan Yasher also scored one for PQM and did a super job serving as goalie. Samuel Dede played a great defensive game and had an assist on goal. Erik Petrin did a commendable job as goalie for half the game. William Stowe and Wyatt Russell also put forth a great effort for the team. Pennington Quality Market defeated Northfield Bank 8-2 on Sunday. Henry West was a strong force for the PQM team, getting a hat trick in just the first half of the game. Dylan Yasher had a great game, suiting up as goalie in the first quarter and then scoring two goals as striker. Giuseppe Panzitta, Gavin McDonough and Aiden Luciano also dominated the field coming away with a goal each. Wyatt Russell, Vincent Matticoli, James Todd and Erik Petrin put forth a great effort as well. Chris Miliaresis played a solid defensive game and took his first turn in goal, defending the team with all his might.

On Sunday, Regent Floor Covering beat Greenleaf Landscaping 3-2. Conor O’Boyle made his first goal, and Owen Lengle made two goals in a competitive game.
