Good Grief seeks facilitators to create a safe and caring environment, listen without judgment, and create a compassionate and caring community to make a difference in the lives of grieving children. Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children of Mercer County is seeking volunteers who speak up in family court for the best interests of children who have been removed from their families due to abuse and/or neglect and placed in the foster care system. The volunteers advocate for the educational, emotional, and physical well-being of these children. Call for Artists and Vendors
Arts Council of Princeton is accepting applications for Communiversity ArtsFest 2016, the town-gown event that attracts more than 40,000 people to the heart of Princeton every spring.
This year’s festivities will take place on Sunday, April 17, rain or shine, from 1 to 6 p.m. Booths showcasing original art and contemporary crafts, merchandise, and food, and six stages of continuous entertainment are planned.

Call for Umpires
District 12 Little League invites boys, girls, and adults to Little League umpire training in West Windsor and Hamilton. Tuesdays, February 2, 9, 16, 23, from 6:30 to 8 p.m., at West Windsor Senior Center; Wednesdays, February 3, 10, 17, and 24, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Reynolds Middle School. Nominations Invited
The New Jersey Governor’s Council on Mental Health Stigma is accepting nominations for ambassador awards honoring individuals and faith-based communities that have provided effective supports, services, or programs that reduce the ways in which society stigmatizes people with mental illnesses. The event will be held on Thursday, April 21, at Crowne Plaza in Monroe. Nominations will be accepted until Monday, February 1. E-mail lpowell@naminj.org.
VSA New Jersey invites nominations for its annual art achievement awards. Students awards are presented to students with special needs, ages 14 to 21, who show outstanding achievement in and commitment to an art form. Educators and administrators of arts programs for students with special needs may receive education in the arts awards.

Deer Hunters
Mercer County Park Commission will hold its deer management program at Mercer Meadows from through Saturday, February 20. Bow hunting will take place Monday through Saturday and Mercer Meadows will remain open to the public with a few exceptions. Hunting will take place from 30 minutes prior to sunrise to 30 minutes after sunset.
Each entrance to the park will be posted with a bright yellow sign to notify park users of the hunting program. Park users are advised to stay on the finished gravel paths, the Lawrence Hopewell Trail and Maidenhead Trail.
The Pole Farm section and the wooded area of Rosedale Park are included in this year’s hunt. There will be no hunting at Curlis Woods or near the dog park, picnic area, or Rosedale Lake. Visit www.mercercountyparks.org.

VSA New Jersey offers program offerings for children with autism ages 3 to 21 and their family members. Arts for children with autism presents family workshops. Saturdays, February 6, 13, 20, 27; March 5, 12, 19, 26; and April 2, 9, in New Brunswick, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for one hour per week. $50 registration fee for families.
