The Rutgers Master Gardeners of Mercer County has announced its new officers for 2016.
Ann Calder of West Windsor will serve a second term as President of the organization and Kathleen Yurwit, also of West Windsor, will serve a second term as First Vice President. Mike Gliddon of Lawrenceville will serve his first term as Treasurer; Patricia Frawley of Princeton will serve a first term as 2nd Vice President and Stephanie Foy of West Windsor will serve a first term as Secretary.
The Officers lead the Master Gardener organization in providing support for their Rutgers Master Gardener Helpline throughout the year, maintaining the award-winning Mercer Educational Gardens in Pennington, and planning and hosting various community educational programs and events, sponsored by Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Mercer County.
The Master Gardeners of Mercer County is a volunteer educational outreach program of Rutgers Cooperative Extension, 930 Spruce Street, Lawrence. Master Gardeners participate in many volunteer programs throughout the county, as well as answer home horticulture questions through their Rutgers Master Gardener Helpline, (609) 989-6853, Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. November through February and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. March through October.
