Looking for a fun family event during the long holiday weekend?
Hop on over to Terhune Orchards on Saturday and Sunday, March 26 and 27 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to celebrate the beginning of spring with Terhune’s annual Bunny Chase.
The event is a free, non-competitive program perfect for children 2 to 10 years old. The little ones will follow hand drawn clues around the farm in a self-guided treasure hunt with a big reward at the end. Fluffy bunny rabbits will be waiting for the children when they reach the end of the trail.
During this free event children will participate in a bunny craft activity and munch on a sugar cookie bunny.
“Celebrating spring at Terhune Orchards is fun for the whole family with our self guided treasure hunt throughout the day,” said farm owner Pam Mount. “Everybody wins.”
Guests can enjoy the sights and sounds of the farm waking up for spring. Baby farm animals are frolicking in the barnyard and the trees are full of chirping birds. Greenery is beginning to emerge all around. The farm trail will be open to stroll along for an up close view of nature. Take a pony ride or climb aboard the wagon for a trip through the green pastures.
Pam’s Food Tent will have plenty to nibble on. Choices include homemade goodies such as apple cider donuts, pies, cookies, fresh pressed apple cider, soup, chili, salads, hot dogs and much more.
Adults can visit the Terhune Orchards Vineyard & Winery tasting room to sample wines made from grapes grown right on the farm. Make a toast to spring’s arrival with a glass of our Blossom White , a semi-sweet white wine with fragrant notes of honeysuckle, or their other award-winning white, red and fruit based wines.
