The Bordentown Field Hockey Club is set to open its inaugural season mid-September, and registration is now open. The league will play within the Burlington County League on Saturdays and Sundays. Each town will host one of the nine game weekends. Players can sign up in three different age brackets: seniors (6th-8th graders), juniors (3rd-5th graders) and minis (K-2nd graders).Practices will begin in late August during the week. If enough teams are formed, the league will also host intraleague play during the week. Mini play will be intraleague, as well as between surrounding towns that have teams in the age bracket.Opening day for seniors is Saturday, Sept. 10 and Sunday, Sept. 11 for juniors. The last weekend of the season is set for Nov. 5-6, but that may change based on rain dates.The league’s core tenets include equal playing time, safety, fair play, positive competition, family involvement and fun. No field hockey experience in required to play. The league is also looking for people or businesses to sponsor a team, purchase equipment and other opportunities. Registration fees are $100 for seniors and juniors, and $75 for minis. Late registration starts July 2, and fees will increase by $25 on that date. To register, visit
