Get a firsthand account of how Trenton helped win the American Revolution from General George Washington himself at the Trent House Museum.
Samuel Davis, a George Washington reenactor, will present “Trenton During the American Revolution as Told by George Washington” on Saturday, Dec. 10 at 1 p.m.
The locally celebrated George Washington reenactor will discuss the effects of the Revolutionary War on our area. Davis will take visitors back in time to the Revolutionary War, share the experiences of George Washington and show how influential Trenton was during the Revolution.
Davis has a great love of history and deep ties to the local community. A science teacher and strength coach at Trenton Central High School, he holds a bachelors degree from The College of New Jersey and two master’s degrees. His involvement in local organizations includes being a Committeeman in Chesterfield, a Freemason and a member of the Sons of the American Republic.
Davis is the official “George Washington” at the Princeton Battlefield and at Summerseat in Morrisville, Pennsylvania, and has portrayed Washington at the Deleware River Crossing reenactment on Christmas Day.
His presentation at the Trent House Museum is $10 for non-members and $8 for members. It will be followed by the debut of the Revolutionary War themed tour of the Trent House Museum.
