“Babe and a Bowtied Bird.” The “My Earth is Somebody’s Ceiling” exhibition featuring 43 collage-paintings by Meredith Remz will be on view at Small World Coffee in Princeton from August 11 to October 6, 2015.
An opening reception for “My Earth is Somebody’s Ceiling” is set to take place on Friday, September 4 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Small World Coffee, 14 Witherspoon Street, Princeton.
Meredith Remz is set to return to Small World Coffee with a solo exhibition of 43 collage-paintings entitled “My Earth is Somebody’s Ceiling.” The exhibit will run from August 11 to October 6, 2015. An opening reception including live music and refreshments is to take place on Friday, September 4 from 7 to 9 p.m. It will be held at Small World Coffee located at 14 Witherspoon Street in Princeton.
The exhibit and opening reception are free to the public, child-friendly and the collection will be for sale.
Remz is a BFA graduate of Mason Gross at Rutgers University. Her paintings and sculpture are home to five installations within St. Peter’s Medical Center in New Brunswick and Carrier Clinic in Belle Mead. Additionally, local business, Princeton Pi & Yogurt recently purchased one of her 9-foot Princeton Tiger collage paintings.
The Artist draws inspiration from her experiences with contemporary and industrial design, as well as mother nature. Remz was employed as a carpenter for a local construction company for many years. She was heavily trained in sheet rock, tile and carpentry- skills which unquestionably lengthen the legs of her polished works.
