We are Community First, a team of three candidates for West Windsor Township Council: Councilman George Borek, former Councilwoman Alison Miller, and attorney and business owner Ayesha Krishnan Hamilton, Esq. Our team has a vision: to provide the leadership, knowledge, professionalism, and the voice that you need on your Township Council to build a community that will make us all proud to call West Windsor our home.
Like you, we are passionate about preserving and contributing to the activities that make West Windsor the type of community we want to live in. We were attracted to West Windsor for its excellent educational system, parks, farms, and open space. We care for our town and enjoy all it has to offer — from cultural festivals to Bike Fest to soccer and baseball — these activities bring our residents together to create a sense of community. We are also focused on working to grow our business community in a way that enhances our town without burdening our schools and services.
As we think about what our town will look like in 5, 10, and 20 years, we are especially mindful of how development will have the potential to alter the face of our town. We are dedicated to careful long-term, fiscally responsible planning, making West Windsor an even better place to live. Our team offers a comprehensive array of skills and interests to guide our town into the future.
Ayesha, a solo practitioner attorney, offers the experience this town needs to understand the issues, ask the tough questions, and focus on solutions that are beneficial to West Windsor residents. As a West Windsor business owner, she is connected to the business community and perfectly positioned to understand and address related issues. Ayesha’s experience negotiating with contractors and builders, coupled with her service on the Affordable Housing Committee, ensures that the township will be well represented as it addresses future development plans.
Alison has worked tirelessly for the past 24 years volunteering her time. She has served most notably on the Township Council and the Planning and Zoning Boards. She is currently serving on the Affordable Housing Committee, Friends of West Windsor Open Space, the West Windsor Bicycle and Pedestrian Alliance, and the West Windsor Parking Authority. She has seen this township thrive and has been involved in many facets of its beautification — issues that remain near and dear to her heart. She was a driving force in the creation of the 9/11 Memorial and is a strong advocate for the bike and pedestrian pathways that make West Windsor such a desirable place to live. As a Certified Planner, Alison will bring her knowledge of context and eye for detail to the Council’s fiscal and policy-making responsibilities.
Finally, George, a leader in this community, is a sitting councilman who also uses his expertise as a professional fire fighter on the township’s Emergency Management Council. He is a key force in serving West Windsor and protecting what we love about this town. As a role model, coach, and mentor, he is a pillar of this community whose continued devotion and involvement is an asset to West Windsor.
Together, the Community First team will use our professional skills and backgrounds to analyze every matter before the Council intelligently to ensure the best, most efficient of tax dollars and resources.
Our team is honored to have the chance to serve you, West Windsor — our neighbors and friends — on Council. We ask for your support.

On November 3 we are voting. For those who live in West Windsor it is important that we vote in a smart way. Those who live in Plainsboro, you will be affected and it is important that you read this very carefully. Why will you be affected? Because even if you vote in Plainsboro, we still share the same school district and this is exactly my point…
Those who have been attending on a regular basis the monthly Board of Education meetings have seen Virginia Beissel Manzari in every single meeting. She and I have exchanged a ton of information about PARCC testing and the future of our school.
Virginia is running with Hemant Marathe and Gerald Halloran III as council members for West Windsor. These three persons are truly interested in keeping the town and especially our schools the way they are. They are committed in asking all the tough questions and fighting, if need be, the developers to avoid overcrowding our schools, maintaining the same level of excellence that has always distinguished the West Windsor Plainsboro School District without allowing corporations like Howard Hughes taking over and building huge developments that would cause not only traffic congestion in our roads but jeopardize the education of our children.
Virginia has her youngest son in seventh grade, so she is ready to fight to ensure that everybody gets the education that our children deserve in our prestigious schools. Hemant was a member of the Board of Education for 12 years and he has been a West Windsor resident for more than 21 years. His four daughters graduated from this school district.
Gerald just moved from Hoboken to West Windsor with his family and has a beautiful 3 1/2 year old boy so he is here for the long run. He wants to see his boy graduate from this school district.
The most admirable thing about these candidates is that they do what they say that they will do, something that has not happened with the actual council member who is running for election.
These three candidates are here to represent our best interests as parents, which is to get the BEST education possible for our children. These candidates will fight the fight for us. So please on November 3 when you head to the polls, West Windsor residents think about voting for them as they are the best choice for our school district. Plainsboro residents, if you have friends in West Windsor please invite them to visit the page: www.facebook.com/YourVoiceWestWindsor
We need to get this right, there are no seconds in our children’s’ education!
