Mendonez for Assembly

I have had the privilege to serve with Councilman Pete Mendonez for the past two years on the West Windsor Township Council and wish to endorse his candidacy for Assembly in the 15th District.

I believe Peter to be an exemplary candidate for Assembly as he has eagerly embraced the needs and concerns of his constituents in West Windsor, and I am certain he will do the same for the residents of the 15th District. Peter consistently puts forward innovative solutions to complex issues in an effort to improve our quality of life. His relative youth is energizing, and he brings a fresh perspective to Central Jersey politics, in my view.

Both Peter and I take pride in the fact that we are not career politicians. To be sure, Peter has a successful and all-encompassing business career. Following college, where he graduated with a degree in electrical engineering, he worked for IBM and PSE&G before co-founding a solar and battery storage company.

His experience in business has led him to develop a practical consensus-building leadership style. He is driven by solutions and not ideology, which, in my view, puts him in sharp contrast to the incumbents who consistently vote to raise taxes and undermine business growth. This view is supported by Peter’s track record on the West Windsor Town Council, where he successfully championed for an energy aggregation initiative for the municipal government’s energy needs. This initiative incorporated both renewable energy sources and cost savings for West Windsor taxpayers.

In short, Pete is the type of leader we need in the 15th district. He is an experienced businessman, not a career politician, who will represent the needs of families and business, while simultaneously promoting sustainability. On November 3, please join me in voting for Peter Mendonez, a true leader who brings innovative solutions to the challenges we face in the 15th district.

West Windsor Council President

The Republican National Coalition for Asian Advancement (RNCAA) is proud to endorse Peter Mendonez Jr.’s candidacy for NJ’s 15th District Assembly.

As an active member of the Asian-American community, Peter exemplifies honesty, integrity, and intelligence. We commend his dedication to transparency in government and his courage to stand up to bureaucrats and career politicians.

As councilman of West Windsor, Peter has demonstrated his clear commitment to fiscally conservative values. He has consistently voted for zero tax increase every year and continues to advocate for smart spending. His plan is pro-growth and seeks to create a climate for economic development and job creation, by rolling back government overreach and repositioning government as a partner, not an overlord.

When it comes to school choice, Peter Mendonez Jr. has been a champion in ensuring that our next generation and millennials get the best possible education and opportunity available. He is an ally in RNCAA’s fight to end Common Core and has what it takes to be a leader in New Jersey’s government.

The Republican National Coalition for Asian Advancement will be doing everything we can to support Peter Mendonez Jr.’s candidacy for NJ State Assembly and encourage everyone in New Jersey’s 15th assembly district to do the same.

President & Founder, RNCAA

My name is Wayne Wittman, former Mayor of Cranbury Township. I am endorsing West Windsor Councilman Peter Mendonez, Jr. for the New Jersey General Assembly in Legislative District 15.

I have known Peter for many years and can personally vouch for his intelligence, engineering skills, and innovation in the workplace. Having worked with Peter at both PSE&G and his energy storage startup company in Mercer County, I am confident in stating that his knowledge of energy and energy-related matters far exceeds that of his opponents. Peter’s experience in dealing with unions, multi-million dollar budgets, and infrastructure development will be a great asset to our state legislature and the citizens of New Jersey.

Peter is not only an environmentally conscious and business minded individual; he is also a strong believer in family values. I have seen his honesty and trustworthiness play out day-to-day in the workplace; attributes sorely needed in our State Assembly. His aspirations encompass helping all citizens of New Jersey.

As the former mayor of Cranbury, I assess Peter’s town council work as having a positive impact on the residents of West Windsor. As Assemblyman, Peter will promote and strengthen our state’s use of green energy, create jobs, stabilize our tax burden, and make New Jersey a better place for families to work and live.

At 31 years old, Peter is indeed a new face to the political spectrum. The current Legislative District 15 incumbents include a career politician who has held the same office for 19 years, as well as a party boss who was placed in her seat, rather than voted in. Fellow New Jerseyans, ask yourselves this simple question: are you better off now than you were 19 years ago? For the majority of us living in New Jersey, the answer is unfortunately no.

New Jersey’s entrenched politicians on both sides of the aisle are detrimental to our state’s future. They are holding us back from embracing our future by clinging to outdated concepts and special interests. Peter Mendonez is a fresh face that we all need in our legislature to bring our state back on track.

The Hon. Wayne K. Wittman
