1. George Borek is a firefighter but focused more on union relations. He hasn’t put out simple political fires in West Windsor and couldn’t save the Twin W (volunteer) Rescue Squad, which served this community. Why not?
2. What are the his top five accomplishments per year or 40 accomplishments as part of his elected record? None are listed. How about his top 10 in eight years?
3. Community First? (sic) He doesn’t reside in the community that pays his salary (Jersey City). Why not?
4. Borek is building a retirement home in low-tax North Carolina as a payback to highly taxed New Jersey taxpayers? Ouch!
5. How many specific budget reductions did he find in eight municipal budgets? Dollar amounts? What savings did he identify in any of the school board budgets?
6. Which of his professional leadership skills are used in analyzing every matter before Council? Example(s)?
7. George’s professional education & military experience: B.A. or B.S./master’s certifications and how this experience has helped West Windsor?
8. George promised in an e-mail to me he had no questions or issues on the 90-page Grover Homestead Report. However he ultimately voted to destroy a habitable 170-year-old house. Not enough information, he said. (No John Nash sidewalk, no sidewalk network in downtown Princeton Junction, Washington Road and Cranbury Road sidewalks, and a ton of other initiatives that ignore public safety.)
Despite repeated requests, Borek never sought financial accounting for the Schenck Farmstead catering/education operations or WW Hysterical Society (latter not part of the township) expenditures. Over $1 million in taxpayer funds spent on behalf of the phantom Transit Village have not been returned to taxpayers.
If West Windsor wants and expects more of nothing from your elected officials, other than a mayoral rubber stamp, Borek is your candidate. Where are those 40 accomplishments?
As always, I invite correction of any of my misunderstandings.
