The Association of Black Women Lawyers of New Jersey (ABWL-NJ) is set to hold its Gala Celebration on Saturday, October 24, 2015, at the Westin in Princeton at Forrestal Village, 201 Village Boulevard, Princeton. The Cocktail Reception will start at 7 p.m. and the Dinner will be at 8 p.m.
The event celebrates ABWL-NJ’s 40 years of community service; educational programs; scholarship support for deserving law students; and career development for legal professionals.
The Association will honor Paulette Brown, Esq., President of the American Bar Association, the nation’s largest legal organization. She is the first woman of color to lead that august body. Attorney Brown is a Past President of ABWL-NJ and continues to be one of our most committed supporters. Awards will also be presented to two other trailblazers, Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman and State Senator Diane Allen for their support on issues important to New Jersey’s legal system, women and families which align with ABWL-NJ’s mission. In addition, ABWL will ceremoniously swear-in Geraldine R. Eure, Esq., as its 24th president, and recognize our 2015-2016 scholarship recipients.
Proceeds from this GALA Celebration will support the ABWL-NJ scholarship for law school students and its legal and related programs throughout the Garden State.
