West Windsor Library presents “Abby Marsh is Slightly Dead,” a new Halloween-themed musical play by Michael Kerr, with music by Elizabeth Kelley, Taryn Greene, and Jack Marley, all residents of West Windsor. Performers range in age from 11 years to adult and are mostly from the Mercer County area. Performances are Friday to Sunday, October 23 to 25. The play is sponsored by the Friends of the West Windsor Library. The play is appropriate for ages 10 and older. Admission is free.
Kerr, the head reference librarian at the library, directs all of the plays. He has worked at the West Windsor branch for 11 years, and this is his ninth year presenting Halloween plays.
“In the play two selfish teens named Jen and Maddy are trapped in a strange dimension of alternate realities called the Slight until they can set a lonely girl in their class named Abby Marsh on the right path, but all their attempts to change her seem to end up in an escalating series of disasters,” says Kerr. “They are guided through the Slight by a strange being named Angie, also known as Devil Girl, who may or may not know what she is doing.”
Actors from West Windsor include Molly Blake, Marisa Carroll, Aditi Chockalingam, Elizabeth Kelley, Sophia Lennox, Nicky Lennox, Anisa Patel, Ramya Rammohan, Bryan Roy, Cathy Li, and Angela Li; and Kashyap Murali of Plainsboro. Musicians include Taryn Greene on keyboards and Jack Marley on guitar.
