Recognizing early detection and prevention as vital for the well-being of communities, BAPS Charities hosted its 3rd annual Health Fair in Robbinsville on November 1, 2015.
The Health Fair saw participation from 47 medical professionals, including specialists in the fields of cardiology, nephrology, dermatology, podiatry, dentistry, gynecology, pain management and psychiatry. These professionals volunteered to provide individual consultations to over 262 community participants who benefited from various screenings. Participants also received free flu vaccination shots.
On October 25, 2015, BAPS Charities hosted a special health event for children called Children’s Health and Safety Day. The goal of the event was to help local youth become “media smart” as they navigate what is healthy and unhealthy, ultimately getting them to “Eat, Think, and Be Active!” Highlights of the event included emergency vehicle tours, interactive workshops and insightful presentations throughout the day. It also gave attendees the unique opportunity to participate and engage in activities as well as other fun, educational sessions that incorporate the necessity of safe and healthy lifestyle. BAPS Charities would like to thank the Robbinsville EMS, Police and Fire department for coming to the event and educating the children.
BAPS Charities has hosted similar community Health Fairs at over 40 locations across North America benefitting over 15,000 participants. Extending that sentiment throughout the year, BAPS Charities hosts medical fairs, walkathons, education and career development seminars, disaster relief operations, blood drives and much more. BAPS Charities sincerely serves the community, by improving the quality of life of individuals and families.
