Hamilton is set to hold its first free rabies immunization clinic of the year on Saturday, Jan. 24 between 9 a.m. and noon.
The clinic will be held at the McManimon Township Building located at 320 Scully Avenue.
The clinic is open to pets of township residency and is free of charge. Proof of residency is required.
All dogs must be leashed and all cats must arrive in a carrier.
Hamilton’s next rabies clinic will be on February 28, followed by clinics in March, June and September.
The New Jersey Department of Health Policy requires the immunization of dogs every two years, even if the inoculation is good for a three-year period.
The new 2015 dog license application is now available on the township website. Applications are due by 4 p.m. on March 31. Fees are $8 for a spayed or neutered pet and $11 for a pet that isn’t spayed or neutered.
Licenses will not be issued if a pet’s rabies immunization expires before November 1, 2015.
