The Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO) presents “PSO Saturday Evening POPS!” on Saturday, Feb. 7 at 8 p.m at Princeton University’s Richardson Auditorium.
The event recasts PSO’s annual mid-winter pops concert from focusing on Broadway hits to focusing on movie scores.
The program, “A Silver Screen Tribute,” will be hosted by NPR film critic Bob Mondello and conducted by PSO music director Rossen Milanov. It will feature a guest appearance by the American Boychoir.
The program spotlights the award-winning works of John Williams, which including those composed for Star Wars, Schindler’s List, Jurassic Park and Indiana Jones.
Music from many other movie scores will be represented including The Wizard of Oz, Gone with the Wind, Cinema Paradiso, Laura, The Magnificent Seven, Sunset Boulevard, Lawrence of Arabia and Vertigo.
Tickets range from $30 to $75 dollars.
