Attitudes in Reverse, a non-profit with the mission of ending the stigma associated with mental illness, seeks volunteers and therapy dogs for upcoming events. Events include Rider University’s Stamp Out Stigma Day on Thursday, April 16, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.; West Windsor-Plainsboro High School North’s Coming Up for AIR presentations on Thursday, April 16, at 7 p.m. and Wednesday, April 22, from 9:50 to 11 a.m.; and during AP Exam weeks Mondays through Fridays, May 4 to 15, from 10:15 a.m. to noon. Weichert Realtors in West Windsor joined forces with The New Jersey Bike Exchange to help provide low cost, quality bicycles for families and individuals in the area. Drop off new or gently used bicycles at 53 Princeton-Hightstown Road from Sunday, April 12 to 19, from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. The bikes will be donated to the Boys & Girls Club of Trenton and proceeds from the sales of the bikes will benefit the Trenton, Newark, and Plainfield Boys & Girls Club’s after-school programs. Cotsen Children’s Library at Princeton University seeks writers ages 9 to 14 for its 350 for 50 writing competition. Write a 350-word story that includes the sentence, “There was a rattling noise.” Winners from three categories will be published in the summer issue of Picture Book Press and on the Pop Goes the Page blog and will receive a $50 shopping spree at Labyrinth Books. StreetSquash Newark seeks squash players of all levels to work with students during a clinic at Princeton University on Saturdays, April 11 and 18. The program offers academics tutoring, squash instruction, community service, college preparation, leadership development, and mentoring for public school students in Newark. For Teens

Howell Living History Farm offers a summer archaeology camp for high school and college students. Participants will assist Hunter Research in uncovering the remains of the 1730s house that once stood on the farm’s land. Three-day sessions are available Thursdays through Saturdays, August 6 to 8, 13 to 15, and 20 to 22, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., for ages 14 to 21 with a current tetanus shot. Auditions

State Theater, in conjunction with Phoenix Entertainment, is searching for a young male actor to portray the role of “Tom of Warwick” in the national tour of “Camelot” in New Brunswick on Sunday, May 3. The role of Tom of Warwick is a young boy destined to be a Knight. He wants to fight for what is right and gives Arthur hope for the future. Actor should appear to be between the ages of 8 to 13 and be less than 5 feet tall. The actor must be available for rehearsal and costume fittings on May 3. Call for Films

Princeton Public Library is accepting film submissions for the 2015 Princeton Student Film & Video Festival being held Wednesday and Thursday, July 22 and 23. The student filmmakers will be invited to introduce and talk about their works during the 12th annual festival. Students ages 14 to 25 are encouraged to submit original films with running times of 20 minutes or less, in a wide range of genres and styles. In previous years the films included documentaries, comedies, dramas, action, animated, personal narrative and experimental works. The festival features films by local, regional, and international students.

One Yoga & Wellness Center in East Windsor offers a “Yoga 4 Sobriety” training workshop focusing on a sense of support for those who learn how to walk through life using the Twelve Steps of recovery as their guide. Musical Notes

The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra’s Edward T. Cone Composition Institute, a multi-faceted program that promotes new music and emerging composers, presented in collaboration with the Princeton University Department of Music, will select four composers to participate in five days of intense compositional evaluations and consultations Sunday to Thursday, July 12 to 16, on the Princeton campus. The program will culminate in a live concert performance of the participants’ works by the NJSO on Thursday, July 16, at 7:30 pm at the Richardson Auditorium.

Emerging composers including university composition students or composers in the early stages of their professional careers must submit completed applications by Friday, March 27. The tuition-free program includes housing on the campus of Princeton University and on-campus meals. Applicants must be at least 18 years old on or before July 1.
