America On Tap, the country’s leading craft beer festival producer will come to Robbinsville this month as part of its 2015 national tour, and event organizers say it’s an opportunity unlike any other for people celebrate their love for craft beer.

The event will take place on April 18 from 2:30-6 p.m. at the Robbinsville Fieldhouse. At press time, the event had sold out, but more tickets could be released.

The event will include live entertainment, and a variety of food vendors will be available for everyone to enjoy. The lineup has not yet been announced.

The Robbinsville event is part of America On Tap, a national tour that will visit more than 70 cities this year. About 50 breweries will have a presence at the Mercer County date.

“Like the other stops on the list, Robbinsville was chosen for the strong craft beer culture in the community and throughout surrounding areas,” said Jesse Leeds-Grant, Live Events Marketing Manager from Townsquare Media.

“There is a big movement happening in the craft beer world,” he said, “and as you could see in Budweiser’s super bowl commercial, big beer companies are starting to take notice.”

The festival is designed to introduce beer enthusiasts to new craft beers and to draw people together in their passion. With more than 100 libations to choose from, everyone will find something they like, event organizers said.

“It’s a great opportunity for beer lovers to try something new, but also for restaurants and bars in the area to think about expanding their selection,” Leeds-Grant said.

Robbinsville-based Richie & Page Distribution Co. will be working with Townsquare Media on the event, providing a lineup of beverages from a variety of breweries.

Richie & Page high end brand manager Dan Kovacs said that attendees can look forward to sampling Mackenzie’s Hard Cider which was just introduced in New Jersey, selections from Victory Brewery in Pennsylvania and Firestone Walker, a California brewery that until April offered a very limited selection to New Jersey.

Two New Jersey based breweries will also have a presence at the festival— East Coast Beer Co. which just built a brewery in Belmar and is ready to introduce several new flavors, and Spellbound Brewing from Mount Holly, which has only been around for about six months but is growing rapidly.

Volunteers will be there to keep glasses full while representatives from many breweries will be present to answer questions.

“Craft beer is exploding,” Kovacs said. “I wouldn’t be surprised if this event draws a few thousand people.”

Kovacs said that Richie & Page has worked with Townsquare Media on two previous America On Tap events—Seaside On Tap and Oktoberfest at Miller Air Park—and that they were both extremely successful.

“I love trying new beers I’ve never had before and finding the next big thing,” said Kovacs. “I have to laugh when people say they don’t like beer. You have so many different flavors, light and dark, with all kinds of additions like fruits and vegetables, so I truly believe there is something out there for everyone—and what better way to find your favorite than at a festival like this? You’d have to spend a lot of money at a liquor store for the chance to try everything we are offering.”
