The Robbinsville Economic Development Advisory Committee (EDAC) hosted its 2nd annual Business and Community Awards Celebration on November 5, 2015 at Robbinsville High School.
Mayor Dave Fried and NJ Senator Linda R. Greenstein, along with Township Council president Ron Witt and D-14 Assemblyman Dan Benson, were among the evening’s presenters. The event formally recognized businesses and civic organizations that have contributed to Robbinsville’s quality of life, and those that have made significant contributions towards the Township’s economic and civic development.
Robbinsville residents nominated over 50 candidates for awards. Winners then were selected by EDAC. This year’s recipients are:
Business Service Award: Connections Gymnastics
Small Business Award: FunniBonz BBQ Smokehouse
Large Business Award: David Bradley Chocolatier
Keep it Local Award: Dolce & Clemente’s
Mayor’s Award for Economic/Community Development (tie): SadieCake’s Café & ONE Project.
Certificates of appreciation, recognizing the businesses that participated in the various networking events throughout the year, were presented to Reid Sound, which provided the audio/visuals for the evening, Amarone’s Windsor Inn, Massimo’s Restaurant, Take 5 Gourmet, Bagels n Cream, Ploy Siam Restaurant, FunniBonz BBQ Smokehouse, Friendly’s Restaurant and Centro Grille. Catering for the event was provided by Take 5 Gourmet and Centro Grille.
EDAC Chairman Chase Taylor reported an 80 percent increase in voter participation by residents from 2014.
