West Windsor Library is accepting entries in the annual amateur photo contest. The theme for this year’s contest is Beautiful Earth. The contest, designed to encourage participation from all patrons of the Mercer County library system, will culminate in a photo exhibition in the library’s lobby.

Each contestant may submit one entry (5×7 format) in person with the entry form at the West Windsor Library, 333 North Post Road, West Windsor. The deadline for submissions is Monday, August 31. Jewish Family & Children’s Service of Greater Mercer County has a new Caregiver Support Group for those under the age of 75 who are taking care of a spouse. The non-sectarian group will provide tips, techniques, and resources to help caregivers. The group is open to the community and will be facilitated by Chaplain Beverly Rubman. Coffee and light refreshments will be served.

Race for the Cure is Sunday, October 4, at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson. Registration is $30 for adults and $15 for children (ages 10 and under). Mercer County’s Division of Culture and Heritage offers applications and guidelines for Mercer County History grants. These grants offer support to nonprofit historical societies, history organizations, local government entities, schools, libraries, and other nonprofits in the county offering local history programming and events.
