Ewing is hosting the USA Women’s National Softball team July 10-11. Only July 10, there will be a clinic at Armstrong Park during the day, followed by a dinner with the team will be held at Trenton Country Club at 7 p.m. On July 11, Team USA will play two games versus a college all-star team at Moody Park Fred Walters Field starting at 6:30 p.m. For tickets or more information visit xtremedimensionsinc.com or e-mail Rick at reggie044@aol.com.

The Ewing Recreation Summer Day Camp will run June 29–August 14. The deadline for payments for weeks six and seven is Wednesday, July 1. After that date, a late fee will be charged for those weeks. Hours are 8:30 a.m.-4:30p.m., Monday–Friday. Early hours will run from 7:30 a.m.-8:30 a.m., and late hours will run from 4:30 p.m.-6 p.m. The camp will be for children entering K-5. Teen Travel Camp is for 6th–10th grade students and is now a six-week program that runs from July 6–August 14. The daily trip schedule is available. The Post Camp weeks are August 17–28 for grades K–10. Forms and camp calendars for all of the camps are available online at the Ewing Township website and in Township buildings.

The Ewing Community Pools System offers two pools: Hollowbrook Pool located at the Hollowbrook Community Center and the Ewing Senior & Community Center Pool. ESCC pool is open full time starting from noon-8 p.m. Senior swim and senior water aerobics are offered weekday mornings starting at 9:30 a.m. Hollowbrook Pool will be open weekdays noon-5 p.m. through August 28. Hollowbrook is available on weekends for group rentals. Call (609) 883–1199 for more information. Forms are available online at the Ewing Township website and in Township buildings. Ewing Recreation Basketball Camp is scheduled for Monday, July 20–Friday, July 25 at Ewing High School, from 9 a.m.–3 p.m. The camp is for kids in grades 4–8, and will be directed by Shelly Dearden, EHS Boys’ Basketball Coach. Shelly will be assisted by other staff members and players. Daily sessions will include work on individual skills, drills, 3v3 and full court games, competitions, daily prizes, guest speakers and end-of-camp championships. Cost is $200 and includes a camp shirt.

Ewing Recreation Summer Camps will be held for Field Hockey July 27–31, directed by Anna Burd. Golf Tuesdays at Mountain View Golf Course start July 7 and will be run by Mercer Golf Academy. Play tennis July 6–August 8 Mondays and Saturdays at the Ewing High School Tennis Courts, directed by NJTL staff.

Ewing Jr. Blue Devils Football program is taking registration now for summer girls’ flag football and fall tackle football online at ewingjrbluedevils.com.

Ewing United Soccer is taking registration for the fall at online at ewingunitedsoccer.com.

The recreation office is taking permit requests for the picnic areas at Banchoff, John Watson and Higgs (Ewing) Parks. Request forms are available at the office.

The ESCC fitness area, which includes a gym and weight room, is open Monday-Thursday 6 a.m.– 9 p.m., Saturdays from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., and Fridays and Sundays from 6 a.m.-5 p.m. There are fees for individuals and families. Registration forms are available at the township website or at the building.

The ESCC and Hollowbrook Community Center, 320 Hollowbrook Drive, have rooms available for rent for small groups to large parties. Kitchen facilities are available. The Gym at ESCC is also available for rentals and community events. For more information please call the Recreation Office.

The Ewing Recreation Department is located in the Ewing Senior and Community Center Building, 999 Lower Ferry Road and is open Monday–Thursday 8:30 a.m.–9 p.m., Friday 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
