Kelsey Theater offers productions this summer at Mercer College in West Windsor. The theater is air conditioned and handicap accessible.
The first show is “Guys And Dolls,” a musical comedy featuring gamblers, gangsters, and women trying to save them. Based on the colorful stories of Damon Runyon, “Guys and Dolls” made its Broadway debut in 1950. With music and lyrics by Frank Loesser, the show’s wit and musical score have made it a true classic of American theater. Favorite tunes include the catchy title song, plus “Luck Be a Lady,” “Sit Down, You’re Rockin’ the Boat,” “If I Were a Bell,” “A Bushel and a Peck,” and “Adelaide’s Lament.”
M&M Stage presents the musical on weekends from Friday, July 10, to Sunday, July 19. A reception with the cast and crew follows the opening night show on July 10. The cast includes Michael Lovett of Ewing as Nathan Detroit. He is an advertising representative with Community News Service.
Some high rollers are rolling into New York City and Nathan Detroit is desperate to set up yet another of his floating crap games — if he can just raise the dough to secure the site. He decides on an elaborate wager with fellow gambler Sky Masterson. Can Masterson win the heart of straight-laced missionary Sarah Brown? If not, Detroit will be $1,000 richer.
Adding to the melodrama is Detroit’s own complicated love life with his long suffering fiance, Adelaide, whose patience is finally at an end. Are these guys ready to do right by their dolls?

Ernie White presents a concert and album debut on Saturday and Sunday, August 1 and 2. He is a Trenton performer with a 40-year career.
Do you like to sing along with movies? Get your poodle skirt ready for a screening of “Grease” on Saturday and Sunday, August 8 and 9. There will also be a hand jive contest.

Grease Movie Sing Along. Saturday, August 8, 7 p.m.; and Sunday, August 9, 2 p.m. Interactive show with the movie musical set in the 1950s. Trivia contest, costumes, and show off your hand jive. $18 includes a participation kit.
