The Arts Council of Princeton and Princeton Shopping Center will present their annual Day of the Dead celebration on Nov. 2 from 3-5 p.m. Festivities include Mexican paper flower making, sugar skull decorating, professional face painting, a Mariachi band and Mexican cuisine.
Mexico’s El Día de los Muertos is observed throughout the world each November, when families gather in remembrance of their departed ancestors to serenade graves, prepare the favorite foods of the deceased and build and decorate flowery altars.
The event is open and free to the public. It will take place in the Princeton Shopping Center Courtyard at 301 N. Harrison Street, Princeton.
