Brentano String Quartet is set to present their final concert as Princeton’s Edward T. Cone Performers-in-Residence.
After nearly 15 years at Princeton, Brentano Quartet will head to the Yale School of Music in the fall of 2014 to take up their new post as quartet-in-residence, replacing the now retired Tokyo String Quartet.
Their final concert features works be Mozart, Shostakovich and Elgar.
Brentano became Princeton’s first Resident String Quartet in 1999. The quartet’s duties at the university include performances at least once a semester, coaching undergraduates in chamber music and assisting in other classes at the music department.
The performance is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Feb. 13 at at Richardson Auditorium in Alexander Hall
This concert is free, however reservations are required.

UPDATE 2/12/14: Due to an impending storm, this concert has been canceled. The quartet plans on offering another free concert April 11.
