Despite the two-storm week in early February that derailed many activities due to power outages, Congregation Beth Chaim’s Tikkun Olam group persisted in its commitment to serve cooked meals to homeless families through its partnership with HomeFront. Congregants cooked at home, bought fresh fruit and vegetables, and packed sandwiches to donate for children and adults served by HomeFront.
The group’s motto is “Making the World a Better Place One Mitzvah (good deed) at a Time” regularly provides a full dinner for 50 plus. Members of the group include Holly Singer, Jeremy Eland, Rabbi Eric Wisnia, and Ronnie Leonard.
