Walk through the home of the New York Giants and Jets to support Easter Seals.
The Easter Seals of New Jersey are set to host its fifth annual Walk With Me event at MetLife Stadium April 12. The event includes a one-mile walk and 5k.
Walkers begin on the field where the Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos faced-off for the Super Bowl. The one-mile walk continues through the concourse level of the stadium.
Runners start outside the stadium and wind their way through its outskirts before crossing the finish line on the field. The course is USA Track and Field certified.
The event also includes a health fair and activities, include appearances by Miss New Jersey Cara McCullom, Bryan Jenkins of News 12 and D2W Wrestlers.
Walk With Me is a fundraising event for individuals and families to raise awareness and support for people living with disabilities.
The Easter Seals of New Jersey are dedicated to enabling individuals with disabilities or special needs, and their families, to live, learn, work and play in their communities with equality, dignity and independence.
A non-profit provides services for individuals with developmental disabilities including autism, physical disabilities, mental illness and other special needs.
Registration is free for walkers and $25 for runners.
