Running the Edge authors are set to speak at Princeton Family YMCA.
Bee Fit with Tracy is set to sponsor this community event featuring competitive runners and authors, Adam Goucher and Tim Catalano.
Goucher, an Olympic runner, and Catalano, a nationally-ranked runner, have been traveling the country since the release of their book to share their message with audiences about how to run faster and get more out of life.
During their one-hour presentation, the authors are set to discuss their passion for running and how to live better.
Goucher and Catalano say their talk is Mo-Edu-Tain-Spiration — a mixture of motivation, education, entertainment and inspiration.
Groucher has won eight individual USA championships and qualified for the finals in the World Championships seven times. In 2000, he represented the United States in the Sydney Olympic Games.
Catalano was a highly-recruited high school distance runner who went on to run varsity track and cross country for the University of Colorado. While there he helped the team earn fourth and second place finishes nationally.
Event attendees will be entered to win more than 25 door prize items courtesy of the authors, Princeton Running Company and Bee Fit with Tracy.
Goucher and Catalano will be selling autographed copies of their book for $10.
The event is scheduled to 11 a.m. March 22 at YMCA’s Dodge Gymnasium, 59 Paul Robeson Place, Princeton. It is free and open to the public, but registration is required. Email rsvp@princetonymca.org to reserve seats.
The event kicks-off spring Open House Week.
Beginning March 22, the YMCA will open its doors to the community, inviting non-members to visit the facility, try classes and participate in a variety of free workshops to support healthy living.
