The Princeton Police Department is now accepting applications for the Youth Police Academy to be held in August.
The Youth Police Academy is a program designed to provide its participants with firsthand knowledge of the duties and responsibilities required of a Princeton Police Officer.
It will involve classroom activities, hands on techniques and police demonstrations.
The Youth Police Academy will be open to students who attend any school located in Princeton and will be entering sixth, seventh or eighth grade in September 2014.
In order to attend the Youth Police Academy, interested students must submit a registration form, a permission/medical data form and a photo waiver to the Princeton Police Station by May 26.
The program begins on August 18 and will run from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. every day through August 22.
