Local musicians, the mayor of Ewing and other community groups are set to gather for a family-friendly event to help raise money for the victims of the South Fork explosion.
A benefit concert is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 22 at the Fisher Middle School.
An assortment of performers will be rocking and rolling in an effort to help heal a community devastated by the gas explosion of March 4, which killed one resident, injured several others and left many families temporarily homeless.
The event features something for everyone, from the family sing-a-long styles of Kids’ Music Round and the Grammy-nominated Miss Amy to hometown favorite band The TEMPOraries and the drum stylings of Rich Scannella, who recently toured with Bon Jovi.
MC Greg Rapport and sideman Kyle Contento are set to serve as the masters of ceremony for the concert.
Leo from Lore Elementary School is set to make an appearance at 10 a.m.
Performances are set to begin with Kids Music Round, an active musical experience, at 10:15 a.m.
Miss Amy and Her Big Kids Band are set to take the stage at 10:45 a.m.
Ewing’s Robotics Team 2016 continues the entertainment at 11:30 a.m.
Students from Southern Shaolin Academy, a martial arts school, are set to demonstrate their moves at 11:45 a.m.
Mayor Bert Steinmann is scheduled to give remarks at 12:30 p.m.
Two-Man Trio is set to perform at 12:45 p.m.
Mo Lowda and The Humble, featuring Jordan Caiola, are set to take the stage a 1:30 p.m
The TEMPOraries are set to perform at 2 p.m.
Rich Scannella, drummer for Jon Bon Jovi and the Kings of Suburbia, is set to play at 3 p.m.
The concert is set to end with a band jam finale at 3:15 p.m.
Admission is a suggested donation of $5 per person.
