The Hopewell Valley Central High School Music and Theatre Parents Association is set to host its annual Faculty Musicale on March 28 at 7 p.m.
This year’s Musicale will feature some favorites from past years like Rachel Curran, Central High School Counselor, who has been performing since the age of four.
Curran participates in local theatre companies and has served as assistant director for several of the high school musicals including “A Chorus Line” and “Beauty and the Beast.”
Other familiar faces include music teachers Michelle Alford, Janet Mills, Bryanna MacAdams, Britt Dominick, Amy Hail, Susan Passerella and Matt Erpelding.
Newcomers to the Musicale will include Timberlane Middle School Performing Arts Teacher, Katie Rochon and CHS Performing Arts Teacher, John Zisa.
Rochon is in her second year of teaching performing arts at TMS where she directed last year’s production of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” and is working on this year’s show, “The Little Mermaid Jr”. Before becoming a teacher, she spent nearly a decade working professionally as an actress and singer based out of NYC.
Zisa is in his second year teaching and directing HVCHS productions. As a performer, he has appeared in many professional and regional theatre productions, concerts and cabarets. He appeared in 2004 as a semi-finalist on “American Idol.”
The event will take place at the Performing Arts Center at Hopewell Valley, 259 Pennington Titusville Road, Pennington.
Tickets are $12 if purchased in advance and $10 at the door.
