Next Step: Engaged Retirement & Encore Careers Center is set to hold several events in April.
On April 4 at 2 p.m. there will be an event at Monument Hall called Men in Retirement which is a meeting of men who are making or who have made the transition into retirement.
On April 7 at 7 p.m. Carol King will be speaking at Princeton Public Library about finding volunteer opportunities.
On April 8 at 7 p.m. Lillian Israel, performer, and Debra Lambo, psychotherapist, will be speaking at the Princeton Public Library about introducing new ways of thinking that encourage new ways of living.
On April 17 at 2 p.m. there will be a group led by Shirley Roberts, Helen Burton and Carol King to discuss the joys, concerns and challenges of having extra time and making decisions about how to use it to create fulfillment. It will take place at the RWJ Health & Wellness Center.
On April 7, 14, 21 and 28 at 1:00 p.m. the Happiness Project Group, led by Helen Burton, will be meeting at the Suzanne Patterson Building to discuss Gretchen Rubin’s book The Happiness Project. Subjects covered will include vitality, marriage, work, parenthood, leisure, friendships, money, eternity, mindfulness and passion
