The Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs will be hosting a symposium titled “Speaking Knowledge to Power” on April 9 from 1:30 to 4 p.m. in Dodds Auditorium.
The symposium, which focuses on America’s role as a the world’s engine of scientific discovery and innovation, will feature a keynote address by John Holdren.
Holdren is the director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy and he will discuss the role and accomplishments of citizen scientists.
A panel discussion will follow Holdren’s keynote moderated by Kennette Benedict. Panelists include Allison Macfarlane, chair of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission; Christopher Chyba, professor of astrophysical sciences and international affairs; and Frank von Hippel, research physicist and professor of public and international affairs, emeritus.
The event is free and open to the public.
Dodds Auditorium is in Robertson Hall located at the corner of Washington Road and Prospect Street in Princeton.
