Princeton Symphony Orchestra is set to feature piano virtuoso Joseph Kalichstein at Classical Peaks, the final PSO concert of the season on May 4 at 4 p.m.
Kalichstein will perform Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 4 in G Major accompanied by PSO.
Also on the program are Anton Webern’s arrangement of Bach’s fugal tribute Ricercare from The Musical Offering and Brahms’ pastoral Symphony No. 2 in D major.
The concert will take place at Richardson Auditorium on the campus of Princeton University.
There will be a pre-concert talk for ticket holders at 3 p.m.
Tickets for the concert range from $25 to $75.
As part of his weekend with the PSO, Kalichstein will give a PSO BRAVO! Master It! masterclass on May 3 at 2 p.m. in Miller Chapel at Princeton Theological Seminary. Free tickets are available to those who want to watch.
Kalichstein’s repertoire ranges from Beethoven works such as the Piano Concerto No. 4 in G Major to works by Mozart and Brahms, as well as 20th Century compositions by Bartok, Prokofiev and others
