The Hopewell Valley Historical Society is set to present a program titled Images of America: Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell on April 30 at 7 p.m.
The talk will be given by Robert W. Sands Jr. and Alexander B. Bartlett authors of a book of the same name.
Sands is the program manager for the Crossroads of the American Revolution and Bartlett is a member of the Germantown historical society in Philadelphia.
Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell are historical icons have been used as the backdrop for many political and social demonstrations and speeches.
The book is filled with images from the archives of Independence National Historical Park and collections around the country that illustrate how these two icons generate a sense of pride and patriotism.
The program will take place at the Hopewell Elementary School cafeteria and will last 45 minutes.
The program is free and open to the public.
Hopewell Elementary School is located at 35 Princeton Avenue, Hopewell.
