Volley for SERV Tennis Tournament is scheduled for June 16 at Cherry Valley Country Club.
Volley for SERV is an annual fundraiser for SERV Behavioral Health System, a non-profit organization headquartered in Ewing that provides residential and support services for individuals throughout New Jersey with severe and persistent mental illnesses and/or developmental disabilities.
The event will feature a six-division doubles tournament followed by an evening reception with cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, dinner, an open bar, live entertainment, a silent auction, a raffle drawing and player awards.
It will also feature the recognition of two honorees: Ivan Punchatz and Gwen Guidice.
Punchatz is an attorney with Buchanan, Ingersoll & Rooney, PC in Princeton and practices health care law.
He is a member of the board of directors of SERV and will receive the third annual SERVice Award.
Guidice will receive the fourth annual Lou Natale Jr. Players Award which acknowledges a tennis palyer for continual support of SERV. Guidice has played in the doubles A division at Volley for SERV for many years and along with Louise Gengler-Thomas has been the reigning team champion for the last three years.
She is executive director of the Princeton Tennis Program in Princeton Junction.
Net profits from Volley For SERV will benefit special programs of the SERV Foundation.
The cost for an individual player is $195. Reception-only tickets are $90.
