Lawrence Township Public Schools is now accepting applications for the 2014 – 2015 preschool program for four-year-olds.
This is a comprehensive program that services typically developing, low income, and special needs children.
The program is scheduled to meet 9:30 a.m. to 3:20 p.m. Monday through Friday at Ben Franklin Elementary School.
The class is set to consist of 18 to 20 children.
Special needs students will be placed in the program by identification, evaluation, and eligibility procedures as outlined in the New Jersey Administrative Code.
Placement for eight typically developing children will be based on a lottery to be held May 21.
Tuition cost for this program is $800 per month.
Eligible children must be at least four years of age — no older than five years of age on or before Oct. 1, 2014 — a resident of Lawrence Township and toilet trained.
Preschool lottery applications are available at the Board of Education office located at 2565 Princeton Pike and Ben Franklin Elementary School main office at 2939 Princeton Pike.
Completed applications should be return to Pearl Charatz at the Department of Student Services, 2565 Princeton Pike, Lawrenceville, no later than May 20.
