PEAC Health and Fitness’s seventh annual Runway to Runway event raised more than $25,000 to benefit the Mercer County Chapter of the Sunshine Foundation.

Runway to Runway Casino Royale was held at PEAC on March 29 and all proceeds benefit the Sunshine Foundation’s annual Dreamlift. Since 2008, PEAC has raised more than $175,000 for this cause.

Attendees enjoyed live music from the TEMPOraries, as well as casino games and bingo. Casino winnings came in the form of raffle chances to win a variety of premier prizes, and winners walked away with a flat screen TV, brand new bicycle, $500 Visa gift card, Yankee tickets, rounds of golf and more.

Cugino’s Italian Specialties of Pennington catered the event, Ritchie and Page Distributing of Robbinsville donated a selection of craft beers and R&R Marketing of Trenton donated wine.

New this year, PEAC held a 50/50 cash raffle in conjunction with the event. A total of $5,490 was collected in raffle ticket sales held in the weeks prior to Casino Royale and at the event. Lawrenceville resident Christine Kelly was the winner; she shared that total with the Sunshine Foundation.

A number of local companies sponsored Casino Royale, including Borden, Perlman & Salisbury, Greg’s Landscaping, Lawrence Landscapes, The Mercadian Group and Stark and Stark.

In addition, the Church and Dwight Employee Giving Fund and PSE&G donated directly to the Sunshine Foundation to support the Dreamlift.

PEAC’s special guests for the evening were Dominic Mazzio, Alexander Rivera and their families. Both boys are scheduled to travel to Disney on the Dreamlift this year.

The Sunshine Foundation’s Dreamlift transports 110 special needs children from the National Guard Facility near the Trenton/Mercer Airport to Orlando, Fla. for a day at Walt Disney World. Mercer County’s chapter of the Sunshine Foundation is the only locally run chapter that sponsors such an event. Dreamlift is set to take flight on May 6.
