Westminster Kantorei, conducted by Amanda Quist, is set to present Claudio Monteverdi’s Vespers of 1610 on April 27 at 3 p.m. at the Princeton Meadow Church and Event Center.
The choir will be accompanied by William Hobbs and the Westminster Chamber Orchestra performing on period instruments.
Westminster Kantorei is an auditioned chamber choir founded in 2004 and specializing in early and contemporary music. The ensemble is composed of approximately 24 undergraduate and graduate students.
Quist is a member of the Westminster Choir College faculty where she conducts the Westminster Chapel Choir, Westminster Kantorei and teaches conducting.
She is also director of the Westminster Vocal Institute, a summer program for high school students.
Hobbs is a member of the piano and voice faculty at Westminster Choir College and has worked at many of the world’s major opera houses as conductor and coach.
Tickets are $20.
