Mercer County Park Commission is set to open the marina at Mercer County Park Memorial Day Weekend.
The marina, which features a lakeside boathouse, a free boat ramp for launching small boats, 1,000 square feet of docks and kayaks, pedal boats and rowboats rentals, is scheduled to open May 25.
Marina hours of operation are set for 12 to 6 p.m. May 25 and 26, June 7 and 8. Starting June 11, hours change to 12 to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and 12 to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday until Sept. 1.
The marina is set to be closed Mondays and Tuesdays throughout the summer, as well as May 31 and June 1.
Pedal boat and rowboat rentals are $16 per hour, single-person kayak rentals are $15 per hour and double-person kayaks are available for $20 per hour.
Fishing is permitted from rowboats only. Anyone 15 years or older must have a valid fishing license.
Boat rentals are weather permitting.
Pontoon boat lake tours are scheduled to start May 25. Prices are $8 for adults, $6 for seniors 62 and older, and children 11 and under. The pontoon boat rides are a 50-minute lake tour. Tours are set to begin at 1, 3 and 5 p.m. and are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
The marina has a snack bar featuring hot dogs, pretzels, ice cream, soft drinks and coffee. It is scheduled to be open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday.
Several events are scheduled for Mercer County Park this summer.
Scholastic Rowing Association of American National Championship is set for May 22 to 24 on Mercer Lake. The Intercollegiate Rowing Association National Championship is also set to take place on the lake May 30, 31 and June 1.
Freedom Festival, the annual Independence Day fair, is set for 3 to 11 p.m. June 28 at the Mercer County Park Festival Grounds.
Summer Concert Series is set to kick off July 12 at the Festival Grounds. Concerts are scheduled for 6 to 10 p.m.
Jersey Night, featuring Bon Jovi and Bruce Springsteen cover bands Slippery When Wet and Tramps Like Us, is scheduled for July 12.
British Invasion Night: Beatles and The Rolling Stones, featuring Revolve and Satisfaction, is set for July 25.
Local Legends Night, featuring Paul Plumeri Blues Band and the Ernie White Band, is set for Aug. 8.
The series is set to close Aug. 22 with Disco/Funk Night, featuring Papa Deluxe & The Main Street Groove and The Philadelphia Funk Authority.
In addition to Mercer County Park, Mercer Meadows, Rosedale Park District in Hopewell Township, also offers residents a place to fish. The park’s 38-acre lake is stocked with trout and features a public-access boat launch open to rowboats, canoes and boats with electric motors. Rosedale also has a picnic area, two playgrounds, five-acre off-leash dog park and an extensive network of hiking trails.
